NCLEX-RN School Code Update:
Pearson VUE is in the process of transitioning all nursing programs from a five-digit system to a ten-digit system.  Beginning April 1, 2014, students applying for the NCLEX-RN exam must select their nursing program based on the ten digit system. Students should consult the 2014 NCLEX Examination Candidate Bulletin – specifically the link to the Educational Program Codes in order to locate the correct program code for registration. Pearson VUE will not allow students to register and sit for the exam if they use the incorrect school code.

The BRN is working with the National Council for State Boards of Nursing and Pearson VUE to ensure this transition goes as smoothly as possible. You will be notified when additional information becomes available.

Pearson VUE Address Issue:
The Board of Registered Nursing is aware that for some candidates, when the record is uploaded at Pearson VUE, the country of "Burkina Faso" is showing up at Pearson VUE, as well as an incorrect prefix in the telephone number. This issue is in the process of being resolved.

You need not worry about this issue. The Address of Record is correct in our Board's database system. The Burkina Faso information will not prevent you from receiving your Authorization to Test (ATT) and it will not prevent you from attending the NCLEX-RN exam at Pearson VUE.

When exam results are submitted by Pearson VUE to our Board, the candidate's Address of Record (which is correct at our Board) is used for communication with the candidate.
