Did You Know? - Alarm Company Operator and Alarm Company Employees

1. When submitting an Alarm Company Employee (ACE) application to the Bureau, you must also submit the following:
   1. Alarm Company Employee application
   2. Two fingerprint cards (If you do not submit the fingerprint cards, please be sure to attach a cover letter stating that the fingerprint cards will follow within three days.)
   3. A total fee in the amount of $73: ($17 application fee; $32 DOJ fingerprint processing fee; $19 FBI fingerprint processing fee.)

   NOTE: If the Bureau does not receive the required items, the application(s) will be returned unprocessed to the applicant. The applicant must complete and resubmit the application(s) to the Bureau.

   When using Live Scan, you must submit the following:

   1. Alarm Company Employee application
   2. Second copy of the Live Scan form signed by the Live Scan Operator (If you do not submit the Live Scan form, please be sure to attach a cover letter stating that the Live Scan form will follow within three days.)
   3. A fee in the amount of $17. In addition, you must pay the Live Scan Operator $56: ($32 DOJ fingerprint processing fee; $19 FBI fingerprint processing fee).

   NOTE: If the Bureau does not receive the required items, the application(s) will be returned unprocessed to the applicant. The applicant must complete and resubmit the application(s) to the Bureau.

2. When submitting an Alarm Company Employee and Firearms Permit application to the Bureau, you must also submit the following:
   1. Alarm Company Employee application
   2. Firearms Permit application
   3. Firearms Eligibility application
   4. Two fingerprint cards. (If you do not submit the fingerprint cards, please be sure to attach a cover letter stating that the fingerprint cards will follow within three days.)
   5. A total fee in the amount of $181: ($17 Alarm Company Employee application fee; $80 firearms permit application fee; $32 DOJ Criminal History check; $19 FBI criminal history check; $28 firearms eligibility application fee.)

   When using Live Scan, you must submit the following to the Bureau:

   1. Alarm Company Employee application
   2. Firearms Permit application
   3. The second copy of the Live Scan form signed by the Live Scan Operator (If you do not submit the Live Scan form, please be sure to attach a cover letter stating that the Live Scan form will follow within three days.)
   4. Firearms eligibility application
   5. A total fee in the amount of $97: ($17 Alarm Company Employee application fee; $80 firearms permit application fee.) If you do not pay the $28 Firearms Eligibility Application processing fee at the Live Scan site, you must submit a total fee in the amount of $125.

   You must pay the Live Scan Operator $56: ($32 DOJ fingerprint processing fee and the $19 FBI fingerprint processing fee.)

   NOTE: If the Bureau does not receive the required items, the application(s) will be returned unprocessed to the applicant. The applicant must complete and resubmit the application(s) to the Bureau.
