Pre-Selected Continuing Education Audits
In June 2009, the CBA instituted random, pre-selected continuing education (CE) audits of all active licensees. The purpose of the audit is to ensure compliance with the CBA's CE requirements at the time of license renewal. Licensees randomly selected for a CE audit will be notified by mail approximately 90 days prior to the license expiration date.
If you are selected for an audit and you intend to renew your license in an active status you must submit the following documentation in the envelope provided with your license renewal application:
- Completed license renewal application.
- CE Reporting Worksheet.
- License renewal fee.
- Certificates of completion verifying a minimum of 80 hours of qualifying CE, as reported on your CE Reporting Worksheet, were completed during the two-year period immediately preceding your license expiration date.
If you are selected for an audit and you intend to renew your license in an inactive status you are not required to complete any CE; however, you must submit the following documentation in the envelope provided with your license renewal application:
- Completed license renewal application.
- License renewal fee.
During the period that the CBA is reviewing your license renewal application and accompanying documents, your license will be placed in a "Renewal in Process" status. Unless the CBA identifies any deficiencies as part of its review, your practice rights will remain in effect during this period. For more detailed information please review the Guidelines for Continuing Education Audit Submission and Acceptable Documentation.
