Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Online Licensing (Eligibility)

You are eligible to apply for the licensing examination online if:

  • You were trained in an approved California School. Proof of Training must be mailed to the Board at:

    P.O. Box 944226
    Sacramento, CA 94244-2260
    (Write "Online Transaction" on your envelope)

OR

  • You have Out-of-State/Country training and/or experience. Click for the required forms (Examination and Initial License Fee Application and Out of State/Country Forms A,B, C Application), and mail them to:

    Sacramento, CA 94244-2260
    (Write "Online Transaction" on your envelope)

AND

  • You have no outstanding fines with the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
