California Board of Registered Nursing Online Licensing (Application Eligibility)
You are eligible to apply for licensure online if:
- You have never submitted an application for licensure to the Board of Registered Nursing
- You have not been issued a permanent RN license in California
- You have a current, clear and active license in another state or Canada
- You have passed the national licensure examination (NCLEX-RN or SBTPE) or acceptable five-part Canadian examination (prior to 1980)
- You do not have any prior convictions or disciplinary actions
