California Board of Registered Nursing Online Licensing (Licensure by Endorsement)

The online endorsement application process allows payment via credit card. Applying for endorsement through the online system in no way expedites the application process. Applications are processed in date order.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are planning to come to the Sacramento office to pick up a temporary license, DO NOT apply using the online method. Click for Information

REQUIREMENTS

Application Fees:

Endorsement - permanent license (required) - $100.00

Fingerprint Fee (required) - $49.00

Temporary License (optional) - $50.00

Verification of License:

  • Register on Nursys if you are endorsing from a participating state
    OR
  • Complete Part I of the Verification of License form and mail to the state board where you hold a clear, current and active license Click for Form
  • NOTE: For International graduates, verification of current/active license and verification of NCLEX must be submitted

Transcripts:

  • All endorsement applicants must request transcripts be sent directly from their school of nursing. Click for Form
