The Davis-Sterling Act
The Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act (Davis-Stirling) governs common interest developments in California.  See: Civil Code §§ 1351-1378.

The California Condo Guru provides comprehensive interpretation of CID law for homeowner associations and answers FAQs for board members.

The Center for California Homeowner Association Law is a clearinghouse of consumer education, training, and referral services for homeowners living in a common interest development (CID) and for consumers who are considering purchasing an association home.

Community Associations Institute (CAI) provides education and resources to the volunteer homeowners who govern community associations and the professional who support them. CAI organizes seminars, workshops, research, continuing education and periodicals on community association management, governance and law.

The Office of Attorney General provides a summary of information on its role in homeowner association issues.

California Association of Community Managers (CACM) focuses on education, training and heightened professionalism of community association managers. Programs, activities and educational opportunities dealing with a variety of topics are available. All are tailored to meet the needs and interests of community association managers.
