Informational Meetings for the Bureau of Automotive
Repair's "Advisory Notice" Pilot Program

The California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Automotive Repair (DCA/BAR) has scheduled a series of informational meetings in various locations throughout the state to discuss and explain the newly developed " Advisory Notice" process.
These meetings are open to the public and industry.
The "Advisory Notice" was developed by the BAR Advisory Group, at the request of industry representatives, to replace the Notice of Violation process that was discontinued over a year ago. A six-month "Advisory Notice Pilot Program" is set to begin April 1, 2004, during which time BAR will evaluate the usefulness and effectiveness of this new process.
