Santa Cruz Area Health Care Professional Agrees to License Revocation by the

Physical Therapy Board of California

Physical Therapist Faced Accusation of Unprofessional Conduct

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 1, 2004

SACRAMENTO — An Aptos physical therapist charged with unprofessional conduct involving patients has agreed to the revocation of his license by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Anthony Michael Delzompo has held a California physical therapist license since August 1996.

The board charged Mr. Delzompo with various acts of unprofessional conduct. Mr. Delzompo admitted these charges, if proven at a hearing, would be cause for discipline.

The decision to revoke Mr. Delzompo's license is effective Nov. 1, 2004. His license had already been suspended in April 2004 under a Family Code violation. The revocation of Mr. Delzompo's license prohibits him from working in California as a physical therapist.

The California Physical Therapy Board licenses over 19,000 physical therapists in the state. Anyone who wishes to file a complaint against a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant can contact the board by calling (916) 263-2550 or by visiting the board's Web site at: www.ptb.ca.gov.
