Geologists, Geophysicists Available for Interviews

Journalists in California are often called upon to report on natural disasters that strike our state. In order to better inform the public, reporters and editors need expert sources who can describe and interpret the natural forces at play during these events.
To that end, the Board for Professional Geologists and Geophysicists (BGG) can make available to the media several licensed professionals with a wide range of experience who can provide general expertise on such things as earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides and related topics.
Journalists who need comment from the Board should contact Executive Officer Rick Rempel at (916) 263-2113. Every effort will be made to find an expert in the reporter's circulation or broadcast area.
