California Dispute Settlement Program (CDSP) – (800) 777–8119

The CDSP is a free service that helps vehicle owners resolve lemon law or warranty disputes.

CDSP conducts arbitration to help settle disagreements between vehicle owners and manufacturers for cars covered under the state lemon law.

During arbitration, both sides present their case to an Arbitrator, who makes a decision. If the consumer accepts the decision, the manufacturer is notified. With few exceptions, the manufacturer must perform the decision within 30 days. Arbitrators are trained legal or dispute resolution experts familiar with warranty laws and CDSP rules.

Participating Manufacturers in a state–certifed arbitration program:

  • BMW (Includes Mini Cooper, Rolls Royce divisions)
  • Fiat Chrylser Automobile (Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Mopar, Ram and SRT)
