Unlicensed Activity

The CBA’s Enforcement Division actively investigates complaints against licensees and those practicing public accountancy without a license (unlicensed activity).

Unlicensed activity could include:

• Non-licensed individuals offering or performing services as a certified public accountant
• Non-licensed individuals advertising themselves as a certified public accountant or “CPA"
• Entities misrepresenting themselves as licensed accounting firms
