2025-26 CBA Campus Tour

The 2025-26 CBA Campus Tour has officially come to an end! In total, the tour reached over 30 campuses across fall 2025 and spring 2026, with more than 1,400 students in total attending presentations on the new licensure requirements and what these changes mean for them.

Assembly Bill (AB) 1175 was signed into law in October 2025, and the new educational and experience requirements are set to debut on January 1, 2027. These updates aim to give students a clearer, more flexible path to CPA licensure. The CBA wanted to ensure that aspiring CPAs could get their questions about the licensure requirement changes answered directly by CBA members and staff, leading to the creation of the Campus Tour initiative.

To spread the word and answer those questions, the CBA went on tour—virtually and in person—at colleges and universities across California. No matter where audience members were tuning in from, the CBA Campus Tour was there to help students understand what’s changing, what it means for them, and how to plan their CPA journey.

The goal of the Campus Tour was to equip students with important information to help them make informed choices as they navigate the path to licensure, while ensuring faculty have the resources to properly guide their students. For more information about the changes themselves, please visit our Licensure Requirements webpage.

A full list of the Campus Tour dates and events can be found below. Thank you once again to all the students and faculty who helped make these presentations a success. While the Campus Tour may have ended, we intend to continue our outreach to students and faculty to ensure that the licensure requirements are understood by all. If you are an educator interested in arranging a presentation for your students or fellow faculty members, contact outreach@cba.ca.gov to schedule a virtual or on-campus event.
