Board-Approved Regulatory Review Course Application Packets

On January 1, 2010, the CBA instituted a new two-hour Board-approved Regulatory Review course requirement for California-licensed CPAs. All licensees renewing a license in an active status must complete a two-hour Board-approved Regulatory Review course every six years.

All Regulatory Review courses must comply with section 87.9 of the CBA Regulations. Prior to offering a Regulatory Review course, providers must apply for Board approval of the course by completing a Regulatory Review Course Initial Application Package (CE-RR-1). Once approved, the term of the approval will be for a two-year period. In order to maintain Board approval, providers must complete a Regulatory Review Course Renewal Application Package (CE-RR-2) prior to the end of the two-year approval period.
